ISO 4132-1979 pdf free.Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC)and metal adaptorfittings for pipes under pressure – Laying lengths andsize of threads – Metric series.
This International Standard specifies the series of diameters tobe used and the dimensions which are common to all types ofunplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and metal adaptor fit-tings for pipes under pressure, to achieve the connection to ex-isting metal pipes, fittings,valves and/or apparatus with pipethreads.The adaptor fittings have one plain socket/spigot for solventcement jointing,and other components in metal,but thepressuretight joint is achieved by the compression of a gasket.Extension to other types should be made by observing the principles laid down in this lnternational Standard.
lSO 7/1,Pipe threads where pressure-tight joints are made onthethreads-Part 1 : Designation,dimensions andtolerances.
lSO/R 49,Malleable cast iron pipe fittings screwed in accor-dance with lso 7/1.1)
ISo 228/1,Pipe threads where pressure-tight joints are notmade on the threads – Part 1 : Designation,dimensions andtolerances.
Iso 264,Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PvC) fittings withplain sockets for pipes under pressure – Laying lengths -Metric series.
ISo 727,Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) fittings withplain sockets for pipes under pressure – Dimensions ofsockets – Metric series.
Adaptor fittings are designated by one or more of the follow-ing :
the nominal inside and/or outside diameter of the Pvc components in accordance with lSO 264;
The inside diameter of the plain socket or the outside diameterof the plain spigot and their lengths shall correspond with thedimensions stated in lSO 727 or lso 264.The threaded part ofthe fitting shall correspond with `the dimensions stated inISo 7/1 and lso 228/1.
When assembling a pipe system, a distance between the endsof the pipes which it is required to join is necessary. Thisdistance is designated as
“pipe to pipe” : when the openings in the fitting con-cerned are in a single direction, or
“pipe to axis” ; when the openings in the fitting are notin a single direction.
The “laying lengths” are specified in clauses 5 and 6.Metal components should conform to lSO/R 49.
Permissible deviations for “laying lengths” dimensionsare given in the tables under the heading “Z”.
Permissible deviations for the diameters and lengths ofthe plain sockets shall be in accordance with lSO 727.ISO 4132 pdf download.
