IEEE 475 Standard Test Conditions. Before initiatingmeasurements defined in this standard,thefield-disturbance sensor shall be checked forrated power output,maximum sensitivity, andalignment,including a review of the manufac-turer’s performance specifications.In addition,specific operating instructions shall be established for the setting of controls, and to ensureproper cabling connections between units. Thefrequency measurements shall be made withthe power supply to the field-disturbance sensortested at the rated voltage within the manu-facturer’stolerances. The field-disturbancesensor shall be operated for a sufficient periodof time to obtain a stable operating condition.3.1.1 Ambient Temperature. The ambienttemperature of the testing location shall bewithin the range 10 C to 40 °C.Temperaturesoutside this range are acceptable providingthe field-disturbance sensor has been at thetesting location for a sufficient length of time,prior to making the measurements,for thetemperature to be equalized with the ambienttemperature of the testing location. However,evidence shall be given that the calibration ofthe measuring instruments used are accuratefor temperatures outside the specified 10cto 40°C ambient temperature range.
Humidity. Measurements shall bemade at a time when humidity and temper-ature conditions do not cause condensationofmoisture on the fielddisturbance sensorunless it isnormal to operate under suchconditions.
Measurement Monitoring. All emissionmeasurements shall be monitored using instru-mentation with a headset, in combination withan oscilloscope, or spectrum analyzer.Measurement Monitoring.
