Composition and Properties:The pigments shall consist substantially of metallic zincand shall conform to the requirements for composition pre-scribed in Table 1.
In such physical properties as are specified by thepurchaser,, the pigment shall satisfactorily match a referencesample mutually agreed upon between the purchaser and theseller.
Two samples shall be taken at random from differentpackages from each lot, batch,day’s pack,or other unit ofproduction in a shipment. When no markings distinguishingbetween units of production appear,samples shall be takenfrom different packages in the ratio of two samples for each 5000 kg (10 000 1b),except that for shipments of less than5000 kg,two samples shall be taken. At the option of thepurchaser,the samples may be tested separately or afterblending in equal quantities the samples from the sameproduction unit to form a composite sample.
Tests shall be conducted in accordance with the follow-ing ASTM test methods. Test procedures not covered by theseASTM test methods shall be mutually agreed upon between thepurchaser and the seller.

Lead, Cadmium, and Iron—Sections 8,18.2, and 22,respectively, of Test Methods E 40.
