This specification is for aluminumalloy centrifugalcastings used in general purpose applications. It may notaddress the mechanical properties， integrity testing,and veri-fication required for highly loaded or safety critical applications. Alloy and temper designations are in accordance withANSI H35.1/H35.1 (M).Unless the order specifies the“M”specificationdesignation, the material shall be furnished to the inch-poundunits.
For acceptance criteria for inclusion of new aluminumand aluminum alloys and their properties in this specification,see Annex A1 and Annex A2.
