This section of BS 7655 specifies the requirements for the general application PVC sheathing compoundslisted in Table 1. The relevant test methods are given in BS EN 60811 and BS 6469.This section is to be read in conjunction with BS 7655-0, which contains essential provisions for theapplication of this section of BS 7655.
For the purposes of this section of BS 7655, the requirements of BS 7655-0,2.1 apply with regard tonormative references.The latest editions of the standards giving test methods are listed in the most recent edition of BS 7655-0.
Definitions For the purposes of this section of BS7655 the definitions given in BS 7655-0, clause 3 apply, together withthe following.
PvC combinations of materials, of which polyvinyl chloride is the characteristic constituent, suitably selected,proportioned and treated, which meet the requirements given in the particular specification
Requirements The requirements specified for the compounds listed in Table 2 shall be met when the compound is testedusing the test methods listed against each particular requirement.
