Inspection of the material shall be made as agreed uponbetween the manufacturer and the purchaser as part of thepurchase contract.
Material, tested by the purchaser, that fails to conformto the requirements of this specification may be rejected.Rejection should be reported to the producer or supplierpromptly and in writing. In case of dissatisfaction with theresults of the test, the producer or supplier may make claim fora rehearing.
When specified in the purchase order or contract,amanufacturer’s certification shall be furnished to the purchaserstating that material has been manufactured,tested,and in-spected in accordance with this specification, and that the testresults on representative samples meet specification require-ments. When specified in the purchase order or contract,areport of the test results shall be furnished.
Each piece of material ‘/ in. (12.7 mm) and over indiameter shall be marked with this specification number alloy,name of the material, and size of the product.Each bundle or shipping container shall be markedwith the name of the material; this specification number alloy;the size; gross, tare, and net weight; consignor and consigneeaddress; contract or order number; and such other informationas may be defined in the contract or order.ASTM B572 pdf download.
