A sample is a quantity of production units(coils,reels，etc.) selected at random from the lot for thepurpose of determining conformance of the lot to the require-ments of this specification.A specimen is a length of wire removedfor test purposes from any individual production unit of thesample.The number of production units in asample shall be as follows: For elongation, resistivity，and mass of coating deter-minations, the sample shall consist of four production units.For continuity of coating determinations，the sample shallconsist of eight production units.
