The material of manufacture shall be a cast rod, bar, orbillet of the designated copper or copperalloy of such purityand soundness as to be suitable for processing into the productsprescribed herein.
In the event that heat identification or traceability isrequired, the purchaser shall specify the details desired.Due to the discontinuous nature of the processing of castingsinto wrought products，it is not always practical to identify a specificcasting analysis with a specific quantity of finished material.
The product shall be manufactured by such hot-working, cold working, and annealing processes as to producea uniform wrought structure in the finished product.The product shall be hot- or cold-worked to thefinished size and subsequently annealed,when required，tomeet the temper properties specified.
The material shall conform to the chemical compositionrequirements in Table 1 for the copper or copper alloy UNSNo. or EN 1412 No. designation specified in the orderinginformation.These composition limits do not preclude the presenceof other elements.By agreement between the manufacturer andthe purchaser,limits may be established and analysis requiredfor unnamed elements.
