4 Instrument environment
4.1 Environment
The stability of the environment will affect accuracy of the calibration process and measurement of production parts. The measurement temperature should be maintained as a constant It is recommended that the temperature be 20C. Standards often require an environment controlled to the extent necessary to assure continued measurements of required accuracy considering temperature, humidity, vibration, cleanliness and other controlable factors affecting precision measurement GeneralI environmental effects should not exceed 10% of the desired measuring machine accuracy.
