AGMA 6010-F97 pdf free.American National Standard – Standard for Spur, Helical, Herringbone and Bevel Enclosed Drives.
AGMA 6010 is ppOcable to enclosed gear drives wherein the gear toodi designs include spur, helical, herringbone or double heal. or bevel, in single or multistage units.
1.1 LimItations
The rating methods and influences identified In this standard are limited to enclosed drives of single and multiple stage designs where the pitch line velocities do not exceed 7000 feel per Thnute and pinion speeds do not exceed 4500 revolutions per minute.
12 Overlap
There a speed and pitch line velocity overlap Wi the scope of this standard and the scope of ANSI/AQUA 6011 -G92 ANSI/AQUA 6011 -G92 permits designs down to 5000 t..t per minute and pinion speeds to 3600 revolutions per minute. In the area of overlap in the scope, the standard used is dependent on the application or unit designed. Au parties should be aware of the standard used and should agree on the use of that standard.
1.3 Intended use
This standard Is not intended to assure performance of assembled gear drive systems. It is intended for use by the experienced gear designer capable of selecting reasonable values for the factors, based on has knowledge at performance at siindar designs and the effects of such items as lubncation, deflection. manufacturing tolerances, metaikargy, residual stress and system dynamics. It is not intended for use by the engineering pubIc at large.
2 Symbols, terminology and definitions
The symbols used in this standard are shown in tae1.
NOTE: The symbols, terms and de1nltbonz contained in th document may vary from those used i other AGMA standards. Users 04 this standard st’iould asawe themselves that they are using these symbols and ddneliona in the manner indicated herein.
